“LIVING WITH INTENTION”
By Jane Dovidio-Gagliardo

Let’s start with the definition of “intention”… a thing intended; an aim or plan. So “Living With Intention,” is simple, right? Not exactly. We are taught from a very young age that we should never intentionally hurt someone, steal, or do bad things. Yet we go through life meeting people whose intentions are less than honorable. They sugar coat their lives and lies with the intent to piggy-back off of the good intentions of others and subliminally or blatantly take from us something we’ve worked really hard for. And they take absolutely no ownership or accountability for their inhumane behavior.
Most people with this type of self-centered mindset always have a bottom-line value for their behavior. And sadly, I’ve seen some of the nicest people fall prey to the ill intentions of others or inadvertently become a messenger or spokesperson for them. Most people who prey on others know in their heart of heart that their actions are wrong, but they have become so self-absorbed that they fail to see the value in others. Consequently, they compromise their humanism for the sake of being able to buy designer clothes, expensive bags, loud jewelry, and other materialistic things… as if to exhibit their riches on their bodies for all to see. But deep inside they know this is wrong. So, their intentions are aimed in the wrong direction… outward instead of inward.
These rogue members of the human family will roll over you in an effort to feel superior or to convince themselves that they are above everyone else. Their intentions are not honorable and often not readily transparent to those whose hearts are filled with love for others. They are intentional in their efforts to make everyone blind to who they really are so they can draw them into their army of sacrificial lambs to become a part of their base of messengers who will do their dirty work. People who are predatory in nature need puppets who will willingly do their bidding to pull in the profits they have an insatiable thirst for. Hunger for money is their game and pure greed is the only legacy they are interested in leaving behind. It’s the age-old story of Good vs Evil.
In a McCarandle Study of Human Behavior, they studied several hundred people giving them scenarios of human activities of good and bad. Interesting enough the men in the studies were not afraid to participate in and then admit the underhandedness of the exercises. But most of the women in the study stayed the course remaining honest and transparent. Now the groups that were mixed with men and women on an average of 33% also ended up doing the right thing. The study also stated that the mixed groups had longer conversations and in-depth thoughts of right vs wrong, or good vs evil. And hands down GOOD always came out the winner.
So beware, those of you who think your intentions can be manipulated to overtake us, GOOD folks. Statistics prove that you will lose… BIG TIME. But I have hope for you. And as they say, Karma is a bitch. Meaning Karma is a women so tread lightly. I leave you with this quote; “People Always Think They Mean Well, That’s the Problem.” (Unknown) Stay Safe. Stay Strong. Stay Fearless.
