Redefining Policing in our Communities – Stop Another Life From Being Taken

Whether you live in an overpopulated urban city, on the streets or in a suburban area, policing in these communities takes a different meaning, a different thought process, different tone, and standards based on statistical information. It’s not the same, but, how do we re-define how policing is managed in these communities? Are we well versed about the laws, do we know if police reform is the answer and what does police reform really mean? How do we change the current relationships with police in our communities and work on getting to a common ground of enforcement of law as well as ensuring we, as community members are also accountable, no matter where we reside, for following protocols and educate ourselves on the laws. How do we form better partnerships. What will it take to stop another life from being taken? There are so many ideas and policies that our government is looking for change in, this one seems to always be a hot topic that has yet to be resolved. Justice prevailed with Chauvin but post Floyd, what has really changed and what needs to change? This Sunday, we are excited to have two guests that will lend their experiences, thoughts, and suggestions on the topic of “Redefining Policing in our Communities – Stop Another Life From Being Taken”. We will have Guest hosts, M.G. Robison, a Law Enforcement Professional and Author of Overseer, and Salih Latin Aziiz Bey, aka Ug, who has experienced life on a level that will be relatable to reforming from inmate to being a productive member of society. Our Sistahship hosts Stefania Johnson, aka Stefire, and Deborah Cofer, aka Mama C are looking forward to having the dialogue necessary to come to terms with what is going on in our communities and how do we work towards a more productive relationship with our communities and our law enforcement. This is one you don’t want to miss this Sunday, 2pm est on TheSistaship.com or on the Gynesis Radio app. We will be taking calls while on the radio at 888-304-4401 for your own questions and comments. We don’t have all the answers but we surely want to move to a more conducive environment so no more lives are not put at risk.
