By popular demand, it’s Take II of Colorism: Shades of Black on The Sistahship
The daily toll of living with colorism amongst African Americans is insidious, inescapable, pervasive, and painful. On our last show, Colorism: Shades of Black, the women of The Sistahship Talk Radio Show discussed the painful stereotypes they have had to endure growing up and the impact it has made to their lives, it was an enlightening discussion. Our guest panelist, Rayshawn, was so impacted by the discussion she decided to open up dialogue, after the show, with her siblings, more so her sister, due to how she perceived their differences in skin tone was playing a role in how they evolved in their lives. We will open up how we move forward together, dispelling and combating self-hatred and the limitations it has put on African Americans so that healing can begin, as well as an update on how Rayshawn’s conversation with her siblings went. On Sunday, April 11th, 2021, at 2 P.M. (EST), on YouTube Live, join our women of The Sistahship Talk Radio Show, Deborah Cofer, Aka Mama C, Tiffanie Romey, aka TiffanieRo, Sherry Knight, aka Lady Wisdom, Tiffany Cofer, aka Tiffany Co-Bling, Special Brothaship Guest: Shawn Bailey of Bairo Real Estate and the return of our guest panelist, Rayshawn, where we will continue to discuss the topic and how we can break free of the conditioned ignorance, low self-esteem, and high insecurity that is produced and promoted by colorism.
